Weak jobs lifted tech, but AI hardware now needs proof.

U.S. equities rose after July payrolls unexpectedly fell, yields eased and Taiwan tech rebounded. The setup helps high-duration AI names, but CPI, PPI, retail sales and TSMC July revenue are the next real tests.

Core view

Bad macro news helped stocks, but the market cannot live on weak data forever.

The near-term tape is constructive: lower hike pressure, softer yields and AI earnings leadership support risk assets. The medium-term question is whether weak employment stays benign or starts damaging consumption, margins and cloud-capex payback.
