U.S. markets
S&P 500 rose 0.9% to 7,509.20, Nasdaq rose 1.3% to 25,837.21, and Dow rose 0.7% to 52,224.64 on July 21. Micron rose 12.2% and Nvidia about 2%.

Consensus looks for roughly USD 116.8B-116.9B revenue, about USD 22.2B Google Cloud revenue, and EPS near USD 2.90. The company’s full-year capex guide is already USD 180B-190B.

TSMC Q2 revenue was about USD 40.2B, gross margin 67.7% and net profit NT$706.6B, up 77% year over year. The issue is no longer demand alone, but capex density and free cash flow.

Truist, Morningstar, BofA and UBS frame the same question: AI remains positive, but investors now demand evidence that spending turns into profits and cash flow.
